A.M. Best Co.has upgraded the financial strength rating to A
(Excellent) from B+ (Good) and the issuer credit rating to "a" from "bbb-" of
Casco Indemnity Company(Casco) (Saco, ME). The ratings have been
removed from under review with positive implications and assigned a stable
outlook.
Ohio Mutual Completes Acquisition of Casco Indemnity Co. (01/03/2011)
Having received final approval from insurance regulators in
Ohio and Maine, Ohio Mutual Insurance Group (OMIG) today confirmed that
its previously-announced acquisition of Maine-based Casco Indemnity
Company has been completed.
